I’ve been going on for years now about how amazing my doctors is so I should really write it in a review. If you dreamed of a doctors, this would be it. The reception staff are lovely and kind, my family have always been seen same day, often within an hour of ringing (even in the afternoon) the doctors are kind, knowledgeable, thorough and professional. The online e-consult service is exceptional and first rate. I honestly struggle to think of any negatives. Oh the nurses and Health Visiting team are wonderful too. I’ve never had a bad experience. By far the best in Edinburgh. Thank you so much for all you do for me and my family.

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Mahrous Hassanein. He was incredibly approachable and friendly, which made a big difference for me, especially as someone who feels anxious about health matters. His kind and reassuring manner really helped put me at ease. A truly supportive and caring doctor!

I changed to Leith Mount Surgery after having a negative experience at another surgery. I’ve seen a GP and physio so far and both have been great. I didn’t feel rushed and they really listened to my experience and believed I was in pain.
Really informative and supportive surgery. Thank you!

Dr Whyte hates her job and makes sure you know it. Her tone is aggressive and can't wait to get you off the phone. Id advise refresher bedside manner training which she seems to have skipped or forgotten.

my girlfriend is unfortunately a patience of this doctors surgery, she has been experincing kidney pains for 7/8 months and has been waiting for 5 months for a kidney scan which this doctors . they said they had made her a referral for. we had no letter or information about this during our 5 month wait so far.

when we contacted the surgery a woman answered us and told us the place they usual do scans, is no longer do scans anymore so I asked her if there is somewhere else we can go to get a scan and why they haven't sent us a letter to our home address informing us this was the case.

she asked us if we knew how big the waiting list in Scotland is for scans. I told her I was aware of the issues the NHS is facing. however that doesn't change the fact that my girl friend still would be requiring a scan for her kidneys. then I asked her if the doctors would be finding an alternative location for the scan and she basically said no I told us we would have to figure that out ourselves.

terrible reception staff and doctors surgery. would not recommend anyone wasting there time here. I have since managed to secure a scan for my girlfriend for less than 2 weeks time . which shows how bad this surgery is at doing it job.

The worst surgery in Edinburgh. They treat it like a business, so they get money for the registered patients, but then they just want to get rid of you. That type of surgery that will send you home with paracetamol pretending you’re ok even, if it’s something serious. They don’t know the illnesses or don’t care, they just ask YOU what you think your illness is or they desperately google (which is absolutely wild). I was going there for 2 months, telling them my chest is burning and my throat hurts a lot and they’ve been telling me ‘t’s a virus’ and it ‘flies around’ finally I have contacted my family and friends back in Europe and we have found out it’s a severe Chronic Acid Reflux. But they’ve been lying to me about virus!! Then they prescribed me with pills that made everything worse and in the end I just find out that diet helps. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I must attend this practice due to post code for more then a year now and this is my experience:
If you want to get an appointment with a GP- It is almost impossible at this place. It will make you sick after just a couple months! You need to fight for an appointment in the first instance! Always "no appointments left" many times the phone didn't even work until 8:30!!- and then was full in 3min.

Even tho I was calling every day at 8 am from 3 days - "there is no space". At first the lane is busy and then you're 6th in the lane and when it's your turn there is "no appointment left"!

It's sick that you don't even have space for 6 people! What a shame!!! They will tell you many times to use their e-super service where no one answers for months and If your symptoms are bad the e-service will discard all the information you've put there from hours and tell you your symptoms are too bad and you need to call the practice! At the same morning I was explaining to the lady on the phone my symptoms for 15min and she told me to use the e-service because she could give me an appointment but my symptoms aren't that bad.

This reception is a nightmare for people ? Please, do some training for this ladies I believe it would help everyone.

And of course I believe there are some people in this practice who want it to work quickly, efficiently and with care about people thank god for them! However I would say it's someone really special there- even tho it should be a minimum as healthcare service.

Have a great day.
